PetsBuds Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how users may and may not use PetsBuds. It protects PetsBuds, users, pets, content, systems, and community from abuse, spam, fraud, security threats, illegal activity, and harmful behavior.
1. Use PetsBuds for Its Intended Purpose
PetsBuds is a pet-focused social platform. You may use PetsBuds to create owner and pet profiles, upload pet photos and videos, share posts and stories, follow pets, like and comment, bookmark content, use groups, send appropriate messages, and participate in respectful pet-centered community activity.
2. Account Abuse Is Not Allowed
You may not create fake accounts, spam accounts, harassment accounts, ban-evasion accounts, impersonation accounts, or multiple accounts used to manipulate engagement or reports.
3. No Spam
You may not use PetsBuds to send, post, upload, or promote spam.
- Repeated unwanted messages or comments
- Mass following or unfollowing
- Mass liking or commenting
- Mass group invites
- Mass account creation
- Repeated links or irrelevant promotions
- Flooding feeds, comments, groups, messages, or notifications
4. No Scams, Fraud, or Deceptive Activity
You may not scam, trick, mislead, or defraud users through fake rescues, fake donations, fake giveaways, phishing, fake proof, pressure for money, impersonation, or misleading adoption, breeder, shelter, rescue, or veterinary claims.
5. No Hacking, Security Abuse, or Unauthorized Access
You may not hack PetsBuds, access accounts or systems without permission, steal passwords or tokens, bypass security, exploit bugs, upload malware, attack PetsBuds, or interfere with site performance.
6. No Scraping, Unauthorized Automation, or Data Harvesting
You may not use bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers, browser extensions, data extraction tools, or similar methods to access or collect PetsBuds data without written permission.
7. No Upload Abuse
You may not upload malware, files designed to exploit PetsBuds, copyrighted content without permission, inappropriate content, animal cruelty, illegal content, privacy-violating content, deceptive content, duplicate spam uploads, or files intended to overload storage or bandwidth.
8. No Abuse of Messages
You may not use messages to harass, threaten, spam, scam, phish, send sexual content, pressure users for money or private information, send malware, impersonate others, or coordinate illegal activity or abuse.
9. No Abuse of Groups
Groups may not be used to spam members, harass users, coordinate abuse, promote hate speech, scams, illegal activity, animal cruelty, malware, political fights, unauthorized advertising, or mass unwanted invites.
10. No Abuse of Invites
Invites must be used carefully and respectfully. Do not send mass unwanted invites, repeatedly invite the same person, use fake email addresses, use invites for spam or scams, or mislead people about why they are being invited.
11. No Fake Engagement
You may not buy, sell, trade, fake, automate, or manipulate likes, follows, comments, bookmarks, views, reports, or other engagement.
12. No Privacy Abuse or Doxxing
You may not expose, collect, pressure, stalk, track, or misuse private information, including addresses, phone numbers, emails, passwords, financial information, medical information, private messages, private photos, location details, or information about children.
13. No Hate, Harassment, Threats, or Abuse
You may not use PetsBuds to attack, threaten, harass, shame, intimidate, target, use slurs, promote hate, or organize attacks against users, groups, businesses, shelters, rescues, breeders, or organizations.
14. No Animal Cruelty or Animal Exploitation
You may not use PetsBuds to post, promote, organize, encourage, or celebrate animal abuse, fighting, neglect, dangerous stunts, illegal animal sales, illegal wildlife trade, fake rescue setups, or unsafe breeding activity.
15. No Illegal or Restricted Commercial Activity
Unless PetsBuds creates an approved feature or gives written permission, do not use PetsBuds for unauthorized advertising, spam marketing, illegal pet sales, fake products, fake rescue fundraising, undisclosed paid promotions, fake reviews, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent giveaways.
16. No Political Campaigning or Divisive Political Use
PetsBuds may not be used for political campaigning, political fundraising, political advertising, political organizing, coordinated political messaging, or divisive political content that disrupts the pet-focused community.
17. No Misuse of PetsBuds Branding
You may not pretend to represent PetsBuds, create fake PetsBuds support accounts, send fake PetsBuds messages, use PetsBuds branding to mislead users, or copy PetsBuds design, code, layout, features, or content without permission.
18. No Interference with Moderation or Enforcement
Do not abuse the report system, file false reports, mass-report users unfairly, evade bans, harass users for reporting content, threaten moderators, hide violations, or manipulate enforcement decisions.
19. API, Code, and Developer Use
Unless PetsBuds provides written permission or an official developer program, you may not access PetsBuds through unofficial APIs, bots, crawlers, scrapers, automation tools, reverse-engineered endpoints, or unauthorized integrations.
20. Rate Limits, Restrictions, and Safety Controls
PetsBuds may limit account creation, login attempts, uploads, posts, comments, likes, follows, bookmarks, messages, group creation, invites, reports, searches, or server requests. Attempting to bypass limits is not allowed.
21. Monitoring and Enforcement
PetsBuds may monitor, review, restrict, remove, preserve, or report content or activity when we believe it violates our policies or the law.

22. Reporting Abuse
Users may report spam, scams, fake rescues, harassment, threats, hate speech, animal cruelty, illegal activity, hacking, impersonation, privacy violations, suspicious links, malware, or abuse of platform features.
23. Appeals
PetsBuds may allow users to appeal certain enforcement actions. Some serious violations may not be eligible for appeal, especially security threats, illegal activity, child safety, serious animal cruelty, fraud, hacking, or legal obligations.
24. Changes to This Policy
PetsBuds may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of PetsBuds after changes means you accept the updated policy.
