Baxter is my scruffy little terrier mix with tan fur, darker ears, a white chest, and a red collar. He’s happy most of the time, especially when we’re outside. Miso is a gray tabby with green eyes and a very serious little face. She spends a lot of time by the window watching birds, delivery trucks, and whatever else she thinks is her business. She likes cardboard boxes, quiet mornings, soft blankets, and pretending she does not care when I call her. She is sweet, but only when she decides it is time.
