PetsBuds Children / Age Policy
PetsBuds is a pet-focused social platform for users who are old enough to safely create accounts, share content, interact with others, and understand our rules.
1. Minimum Age to Use PetsBuds
You must be at least 13 years old to create a PetsBuds account or use PetsBuds. Users under 13 may not create accounts, post content, send messages, create pet profiles, join groups, or interact through PetsBuds.
2. Teen Users Ages 13 to 17
Users between 13 and 17 may use PetsBuds only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- Follow all PetsBuds rules
- Do not share private personal information publicly
- Do not send private information to strangers
- Do not post unsafe, illegal, inappropriate, or harmful content
- Do not meet people from PetsBuds in person without parent or guardian involvement
- Ask a trusted adult for help if someone makes you uncomfortable
3. Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians are encouraged to help teen users understand online safety, privacy, scams, reporting, respectful behavior, and how to handle bullying or uncomfortable messages.
4. PetsBuds Is Not Directed to Children Under 13
PetsBuds is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we may delete or disable the account and related information.
5. Reporting an Underage Account
Users, parents, guardians, or others may report an account that appears to belong to someone under 13. Reports should include the username, profile link if available, reason for the report, and relevant details.
6. What PetsBuds May Do After an Age Report
PetsBuds may review the account, request more information, restrict the account, remove content, delete or disable the account, preserve limited information for safety or legal reasons, or reject reports that appear false, abusive, incomplete, or made in bad faith.
7. Age Misrepresentation
You may not lie about your age, help someone under 13 create or use a PetsBuds account, create an account for a child under 13, or allow a child under 13 to use your account.
8. Children in Photos and Videos
You may not upload photos or videos of children unless you have permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian when required. You may not upload content involving children that is sexual, exploitative, abusive, harmful, humiliating, unsafe, private, or used to reveal a child’s school, home, routine, private location, or personal information.
9. No Sexual or Exploitative Content Involving Minors
PetsBuds has zero tolerance for sexual, sexualized, exploitative, abusive, or harmful content involving minors. PetsBuds may immediately remove content, disable accounts, preserve evidence, and report serious child safety issues to appropriate authorities when necessary.
10. No Grooming, Predatory Behavior, or Unsafe Contact
You may not use PetsBuds to contact, target, manipulate, exploit, pressure, threaten, groom, or harm minors. Do not ask minors for private photos, sexual content, location details, school details, private information, or to move conversations off PetsBuds.
11. Teen Privacy and Safety
Teen users should not publicly post or send strangers their home address, school name, phone number, personal email, passwords, login codes, exact location, daily routine, financial information, family information, private photos, or private videos.
12. Direct Messages and Teen Safety
Users may not use messages to harass teens, threaten teens, send sexual content, request private photos or videos, pressure teens for information, send scams, or encourage unsafe offline meetings.
13. Groups and Teen Safety
Groups must remain safe, respectful, and pet-focused. Groups may not be used to target teens, pressure teens, bully teens, share private information, organize unsafe contact, or expose minors to inappropriate content.
14. Advertising, Promotions, and Teens
PetsBuds does not allow users to exploit teen users through scams, misleading promotions, fake giveaways, fake rescue emergencies, pressure tactics, or manipulative commercial activity.
15. Account Deletion Requests from Parents or Guardians
A parent or legal guardian may contact PetsBuds to request deletion of an underage account. PetsBuds may ask for information needed to verify the request.
16. Data Related to Underage Accounts
If PetsBuds identifies an account belonging to a user under 13, PetsBuds may delete or disable the account, owner profile, pet profiles, photos, videos, posts, comments, messages where possible, group activity, likes, follows, bookmarks, and other activity.
17. International Users
Age and parental consent rules may vary depending on where a user lives. PetsBuds may update this policy, restrict access, request additional consent, or apply additional protections based on legal requirements, location, or safety needs.
18. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for following this policy. Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, permanent ban, reporting to authorities, or other action.
19. Enforcement
PetsBuds may remove content, restrict features, disable accounts, delete accounts, block access, preserve evidence, report serious safety concerns, or take other action allowed under our policies.
20. Changes to This Policy
PetsBuds may update this Children / Age Policy from time to time. Continued use of PetsBuds after changes means you accept the updated policy.
