PetsBuds Community Guidelines
Welcome to PetsBuds. PetsBuds is a pet-focused community built to help people discover pets, share pet moments, connect with other pet owners, and enjoy a positive space centered around animals.
These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on PetsBuds.
Keep PetsBuds safe, friendly, pet-focused, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.
1. Be Kind and Respectful
PetsBuds should feel welcoming. You may not bully, harass, threaten, shame, intimidate, stalk, repeatedly contact, or target other users. Disagreements can happen, but they must remain respectful.
2. Keep PetsBuds Pet-Focused
PetsBuds is built for pets and the people who love them. Content should generally relate to pets, pet ownership, pet photos and videos, pet stories, pet care, pet humor, pet-friendly activities, responsible pet communities, or pet-focused groups.
3. No Hate Speech, Racism, or Discrimination
PetsBuds does not allow content that attacks, threatens, dehumanizes, mocks, or promotes hatred against people based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, immigration status, veteran status, or other protected or personal characteristics.
4. No Animal Abuse or Cruelty
PetsBuds has zero tolerance for content that promotes, encourages, celebrates, or shows animal cruelty.

- Intentional harm, neglect, starvation, or abandonment
- Dangerous stunts involving pets
- Forcing pets into distress for entertainment
- Illegal wildlife ownership, trade, sale, or trafficking
- Unsafe or irresponsible breeding practices
Educational, rescue, or awareness content may be allowed when handled responsibly and without glorifying harm.
5. No Inappropriate Human Content
PetsBuds is not an adult platform. Do not post nudity, pornography, sexually explicit content, sexualized images of minors, exploitative content, non-consensual intimate images, or private images of another person without permission.
6. No Inappropriate Pet Content
Pet content must be safe, respectful, and appropriate. Do not post sexualized animal content, injured animals used for shock or entertainment, dangerous pranks, fake rescue setups, or content that encourages mistreatment of animals.
7. No Spam, Scams, or Fake Activity
PetsBuds does not allow spam or manipulative behavior.

- Fake giveaways or fake rescue emergencies
- Fake donation requests
- Phishing or fraudulent links
- Mass group invites
- Mass following or unfollowing
- Fake likes, comments, follows, or views
- Bot activity or automated account creation
8. No Hacking, Scraping, or Security Abuse
Do not try to harm, break, copy, overload, or abuse PetsBuds systems. Do not hack, scrape, use bots without permission, bypass security, upload malware, steal accounts, or access data you are not authorized to access.
9. No Illegal Activity
You may not use PetsBuds to promote, plan, assist, or engage in fraud, scams, threats, identity theft, hacking, malware distribution, illegal animal sales, animal fighting, illegal breeding, illegal wildlife trade, exploitation, or any other unlawful conduct.
10. No Political Campaigning or Political Fights
PetsBuds is a pet-focused platform. Political campaigning, political fundraising, political advertising, political organizing, political arguments, and divisive political posts or comments are not allowed.
11. Respect Privacy
Do not share someone else’s private information without permission, including home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, login information, financial information, medical information, private messages, private photos or videos, personal documents, location information, or information about children without proper permission.
12. Be Careful with Photos and Videos of People
Before uploading photos or videos of people, make sure you have permission when needed. Do not post private images, images of children without parent or guardian permission, or content meant to embarrass, shame, expose, or reveal private details about someone.
13. Use Groups Responsibly
Groups should help users connect around pets, pet types, breeds, locations, activities, or shared pet interests. Groups may not be used for harassment, hate speech, spam, scams, political fights, illegal activity, animal cruelty, coordinated abuse, or mass unwanted invites.
14. Use Messages Responsibly
Messages should be respectful and safe. Do not use messages to harass, threaten, spam, scam, send sexual content, pressure users for money or private information, impersonate others, or coordinate illegal activity or abuse.
15. No Fake Pet Profiles or Impersonation
Do not create profiles that impersonate another user, another person’s pet, a rescue, shelter, breeder, veterinarian, brand, business, organization, public figure, famous pet, PetsBuds staff, or moderators.
16. No Dangerous Veterinary, Medical, or Safety Advice
PetsBuds is not a veterinary service. You may share personal pet experiences, but do not pretend to be a veterinarian if you are not one, give dangerous medication instructions, encourage users to avoid needed veterinary care, or share unsafe treatments as guaranteed solutions.
17. No Unauthorized Selling or Promotions
Unless PetsBuds creates a specific feature or gives written permission, do not use PetsBuds for selling pets, selling illegal animals, unauthorized advertising, spam marketing, fake rescue fundraising, undisclosed paid promotions, fake reviews, pyramid schemes, or manipulative promotions.
18. Adoption, Rescue, Breeder, and Donation Claims
PetsBuds does not automatically verify adoption, rescue, shelter, breeder, donation, or emergency claims unless clearly stated. Do not pretend to be a rescue, shelter, breeder, veterinarian, or animal professional, and do not create fake rescue stories or misleading pet emergencies.
19. Copyright and Content Ownership
Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Giving credit is not always enough. PetsBuds may remove content that appears to violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
20. AI-Generated Content
AI-generated content may be allowed if it follows PetsBuds rules. Do not use AI content to scam users, fake rescue emergencies, impersonate others, create fake evidence, harass users, or generate inappropriate human or pet content.
21. Safety Reporting
Report content or behavior that appears unsafe, illegal, abusive, misleading, or harmful. PetsBuds may review reports and take action when appropriate.
22. What Happens When Rules Are Broken
PetsBuds may warn users, remove content, hide or limit content, restrict features, remove pet profiles or groups, temporarily suspend accounts, permanently ban accounts, block access, preserve evidence, or report serious activity to appropriate authorities.
23. Appeals
PetsBuds may allow users to appeal certain moderation decisions. Some serious safety, legal, child safety, animal cruelty, hacking, or illegal activity decisions may not be eligible for appeal.
24. Repeated Violations
Repeated violations may lead to stronger enforcement. Creating new accounts to avoid warnings, bans, blocks, or restrictions is not allowed.
25. Moderator Discretion
PetsBuds may remove content or restrict accounts when content creates safety, legal, privacy, animal welfare, platform abuse, or community harm concerns, even if the exact behavior is not listed here.
26. Plain-English Summary
Be kind. Keep PetsBuds pet-focused. Respect privacy. Do not bully, harass, threaten, spam, scam, hack, impersonate, post hate speech, post animal cruelty, post inappropriate content, or use PetsBuds for political fights.
