PetsBuds Copyright / DMCA Policy
PetsBuds respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy explains how PetsBuds handles copyright complaints, takedown requests, counter-notices, repeat infringers, and intellectual property concerns.
1. Do Not Upload Content You Do Not Own or Have Permission to Use
You may only upload or share content on PetsBuds if you own it or have permission to use it.
- Photos
- Videos
- Music
- Artwork
- Graphics
- Logos
- Illustrations
- Memes
- Captions
- Written content
- Brand names
- Designs
- AI-generated or AI-edited content that uses protected material
Giving credit is not always enough. Saying “no copyright infringement intended” is not enough. Finding something online does not mean you have permission to use it.
2. User Responsibility for Uploaded Content
You are responsible for the content you upload, post, send, or share on PetsBuds. By uploading content, you confirm that you own it or have the legal right to use it, have needed permissions, and that it does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
3. Examples of Possible Copyright Violations
- Uploading someone else’s pet photo or video without permission
- Uploading a copyrighted song in a video without permission
- Using another creator’s artwork, logo, design, or caption without permission
- Reposting content from another social platform without permission
- Editing someone else’s photo or video and posting it as your own
- Using copyrighted content as a profile image, pet avatar, group image, or post image
4. Photos and Videos of Pets
PetsBuds is built around pet photos and videos, but users must still respect ownership rights. You may upload pet photos and videos only if you took them, own the rights, have permission from the creator, and are legally allowed to share them.
5. Photos and Videos of People
If your content includes people, you are responsible for making sure you have permission when required. Copyright issues and privacy issues are separate. Even if you own a photo, it may still violate someone’s privacy or publicity rights.
6. Music and Audio in Videos
Do not upload videos with music, audio, or sound recordings you do not have permission to use, including popular songs, background music, movie or TV audio, audio from another creator’s video, commercial sound effects, podcast clips, or social media audio clips.
7. Logos, Brands, and Trademarks
Do not use someone else’s logo, brand name, trademark, business name, product name, or official branding in a way that may confuse or mislead users. Do not pretend to represent PetsBuds, a rescue, shelter, breeder, veterinarian, business, brand, public figure, famous pet, or organization you are not authorized to represent.
8. AI-Generated and AI-Edited Content
AI-generated or AI-edited content must still respect copyright, trademark, privacy, and publicity rights. Do not use AI to copy protected work, impersonate others, create misleading evidence, fake rescue emergencies, fake animal injury content, or violate another person’s rights.
9. Copyright Complaints
If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on PetsBuds without permission, you may send a copyright complaint to PetsBuds.

- Your physical or electronic signature.

11. Counter-Notices
If your content was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send PetsBuds a counter-notice.
A counter-notice should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.

12. What Happens After PetsBuds Receives a Counter-Notice
PetsBuds may forward the counter-notice to the original complainant and may restore the removed content according to applicable law unless the complainant informs PetsBuds that they have filed a court action to prevent restoration. PetsBuds may choose not to restore content if it violates other PetsBuds policies.
13. False Claims and Misrepresentations
Do not submit false, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith copyright complaints or counter-notices. You may be legally responsible for damages, costs, and attorney’s fees if you knowingly make false claims.
14. Repeat Infringer Policy
PetsBuds may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or repeatedly upload content that violates intellectual property rights.
15. Trademark Complaints
PetsBuds may review trademark complaints involving logos, brand names, business names, or official names used in a confusing or misleading way. PetsBuds may remove or restrict content, usernames, group names, pet names, profile names, or accounts that appear to infringe trademarks or impersonate others.
16. Public Domain, Fair Use, and Licensed Content
Some uses of copyrighted material may be allowed under law, such as public domain use, licensed use, or fair use. PetsBuds cannot give legal advice about whether a specific use qualifies as fair use or whether a license applies.
17. Content Removed for Other Policy Reasons
PetsBuds may remove content for reasons unrelated to copyright, including animal cruelty, inappropriate content, hate speech, harassment, threats, spam, scams, illegal activity, privacy violations, dangerous advice, or misleading AI-generated content.
18. No Legal Advice
This policy is provided for informational and platform policy purposes only. PetsBuds does not provide legal advice.
