PetsBuds does not sell your personal information.
PetsBuds does not sell your pet information, photos, videos, private messages, account details, or activity history.

Account Information
When you create or use an account, we may collect your name or display name, username, email address, password hash, account creation date, login activity, account status, avatar, and optional profile details.
Owner Profile Information
If you create an owner profile, we may collect your profile name, username, profile image or avatar, bio, general location if provided, preferences, and public-facing profile activity.
Pet Profile Information
If you create pet profiles, we may collect pet name, pet type, breed, gender, age, weight, pet description, pet avatar, pet photos, pet videos, and pet-related activity.
Posts, Photos, Videos, Comments, and Community Content
When you post content, PetsBuds may collect photos, videos, captions, post titles, comments, likes, bookmarks, group posts, stories, replies, and related metadata such as upload time and file type.
Messages and Communications
If PetsBuds offers messaging, we may collect messages you send and receive, timestamps, sender and recipient information, message status, and reports related to messages. PetsBuds messages are not guaranteed to be end-to-end encrypted.
Groups, Invites, and Community Activity
If you use groups or invites, we may collect groups you create or join, group posts, group comments, invites sent or received, invite status, moderation activity, and reports.
Technical and Device Information
PetsBuds may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, date and time of visits, session activity, error logs, security logs, and cookie identifiers.

PetsBuds may use information to create and manage accounts, display owner and pet profiles, support posts, photos, videos, likes, comments, follows, bookmarks, messages, groups, notifications, search, discovery, safety, moderation, analytics, debugging, backups, and legal compliance.
We may also use information to prevent spam, fraud, hacking, unauthorized access, abuse, scams, animal cruelty, child safety risks, and other policy violations.
4. How We Share Information
PetsBuds does not sell your personal information.
Public content you choose to share, such as profiles, pet profiles, posts, comments, likes, follows, group activity, and other public actions, may be visible to other users.
PetsBuds may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting providers, cloud storage providers, content delivery networks, email providers, SMS providers, analytics providers, payment processors if paid features are added, and security tools.
PetsBuds may also share or preserve information when necessary to comply with law, respond to legal requests, investigate illegal activity, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users or pets, respond to emergencies, or enforce our policies.
5. What Users Should Not Share
To protect privacy and safety, users should not post or share private information publicly.

6. Photos, Videos, and Pet Content
By uploading photos, videos, or other content, you confirm that you own the content or have permission to upload it, that it does not violate anyone else’s rights, and that it follows PetsBuds rules.
PetsBuds may remove content involving animal abuse, unsafe pet handling, harassment, hate, nudity, sexual content, illegal activity, spam, scams, privacy violations, or harmful behavior.
7. Children’s Privacy
PetsBuds is not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create a PetsBuds account.
If you are between 13 and 17, you should use PetsBuds only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
PetsBuds does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we may delete or disable the account and related information.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
PetsBuds may use cookies, sessions, local storage, security tokens, analytics, logs, and similar technologies to keep users logged in, protect accounts, remember preferences, prevent fraud and abuse, improve performance, and support analytics.

9. Data Security
PetsBuds uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect information, such as password hashing, login protections, CSRF protection, access controls, security logs, backups, abuse monitoring, and secure hosting practices.
No website or online service can guarantee complete security. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and notifying PetsBuds if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

PetsBuds keeps information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, display your content, protect the platform, resolve disputes, enforce rules, comply with legal obligations, and maintain backups.
When information is no longer needed, PetsBuds may delete, anonymize, or securely store it according to our retention practices.

You may request deletion of your PetsBuds account. When your account is deleted, PetsBuds may delete or deactivate your account profile, owner profile, pet profiles, posts, photos, videos, comments, messages where possible, follows, likes, bookmarks, and other activity.
Some information may be retained for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, backups, dispute resolution, moderation records, or safety reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or request a copy of certain personal information. PetsBuds may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

PetsBuds may send account verification messages, password reset messages, security alerts, service updates, invite-related messages, support responses, legal updates, and optional notifications. Some account or security messages may still be sent even if you opt out of optional notifications.

15. International Users
