PetsBuds Terms of Service
Welcome to PetsBuds.
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using PetsBuds, including our website, profiles, pet profiles, posts, photos, videos, comments, likes, follows, groups, messages, notifications, stories, and any other PetsBuds features or services.
By creating an account, accessing PetsBuds, posting content, or using any PetsBuds feature, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use PetsBuds.
1. About PetsBuds
PetsBuds is a pet-focused social platform where users can discover pets, create pet profiles, follow pets, share posts, upload photos and videos, join or create groups, comment, like, message, and interact with other pet owners and pet lovers.
PetsBuds is designed for positive, safe, respectful, pet-centered community interaction.
PetsBuds is not a veterinary service, emergency service, marketplace, payment platform, animal rescue verification service, breeder verification service, legal service, or medical advice provider.
2. Who Can Use PetsBuds
You must be at least 13 years old to create a PetsBuds account or use PetsBuds.
If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may use PetsBuds only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You may not use PetsBuds if:
- You are under 13 years old
- You were previously banned from PetsBuds
- You are legally prohibited from using our services
- You are using PetsBuds for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
PetsBuds may suspend or delete accounts that violate these requirements.
3. Your Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens through your account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate account information
- Keep your login information secure
- Not share your password with others
- Not create fake, misleading, impersonation, spam, or abusive accounts
- Not use someone else’s account without permission
- Not allow another person to use your account to violate PetsBuds rules
- Notify PetsBuds if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
PetsBuds is not responsible for losses caused by your failure to keep your account secure.
4. Usernames, Profiles, and Pet Profiles
PetsBuds may allow you to create an owner profile and one or more pet profiles.
Your profile, username, pet profile, bio, photos, videos, captions, and account details may not impersonate others, mislead users, use offensive or threatening language, violate rights, promote scams or harmful behavior, or include private information that should not be publicly shared.
PetsBuds may remove, rename, restrict, or reclaim usernames, profile names, pet names, or account identifiers when needed to protect users, prevent confusion, enforce policies, or comply with legal obligations.
5. Your Content
“Your Content” means anything you upload, post, submit, send, display, or share on PetsBuds, including photos, videos, pet profile information, owner profile information, captions, post titles, comments, messages, group posts, stories, usernames, pet names, bios, replies, reactions, and other content or information you provide.
You are responsible for Your Content.
By posting or uploading content to PetsBuds, you confirm that you own the content or have permission to use it, have permission from any person shown in it, and that it does not violate privacy rights, copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, PetsBuds policies, or the law.
Do not upload content unless you have the right to upload it.
6. License You Give PetsBuds
You keep ownership of content you own.
When you upload, post, or share content on PetsBuds, you give PetsBuds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, copy, display, reproduce, resize, compress, modify for formatting, distribute, publish, and show that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, secure, and provide PetsBuds.
This license allows PetsBuds to display your posts and pet profiles, show media in feeds and profiles, store and back up content, resize or format media, share content with service providers, promote PetsBuds using public content where allowed, and review or remove content when needed for safety, legal, or policy reasons.
This license ends when your content is deleted from PetsBuds, except where content has already been shared, copied, backed up, cached, used for safety or legal needs, or retained as allowed by our policies.
7. Content PetsBuds Does Not Allow
PetsBuds is a pet-focused community. The following content and behavior are not allowed:
A. Bullying, Harassment, and Threats
You may not post, send, or encourage bullying, harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, targeted abuse, repeated unwanted contact, or attacks on another user, pet owner, rescue, shelter, business, or organization.
B. Hate Speech, Racism, and Discrimination
You may not post or promote content that attacks, dehumanizes, threatens, mocks, or encourages hatred against people based on protected or personal characteristics, including race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, immigration status, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.
C. Inappropriate Human Content
You may not upload or share nudity, pornography, sexually explicit content, sexualized images of minors, exploitative content, non-consensual intimate images, private images of another person without permission, or content showing people in vulnerable or humiliating situations without permission.
D. Inappropriate Pet or Animal Content
You may not upload, share, promote, or encourage animal abuse, animal cruelty, animal fighting, pets being intentionally harmed or neglected, dangerous stunts involving pets, unsafe handling, violence toward animals, forced distress, graphic animal injury for shock value, illegal wildlife activity, or unsafe breeding practices.
E. Illegal Activity
You may not use PetsBuds to promote, organize, assist, or engage in fraud, theft, scams, threats, extortion, illegal animal sales, animal fighting, illegal breeding activity, hacking, identity theft, malware distribution, sale of illegal goods or services, exploitation, or any other unlawful conduct.
F. Spam, Scams, and Manipulation
You may not use PetsBuds for spam, fake giveaways, fake rescue emergencies, fake donation requests, phishing, fraudulent links, misleading promotions, repeated unwanted messages, mass following or unfollowing, fake engagement, bot activity, automated account creation, abuse of group invites or messages, or selling engagement, accounts, followers, likes, or comments.
G. Hacking, Scraping, and Security Abuse
You may not try to hack PetsBuds, test vulnerabilities without permission, access unauthorized systems or data, bypass security, upload malware, scrape PetsBuds without permission, use bots or automation without permission, interfere with site performance, attack PetsBuds, or reverse engineer protected parts of PetsBuds.
H. Political Content and Divisive Debate
PetsBuds is a pet-focused platform. PetsBuds does not allow political campaigning, political fundraising, political advertising, political organizing, political arguments, or divisive political content that takes the community away from its pet-focused purpose.
I. Private Information and Doxxing
You may not share someone else’s private information without permission, including addresses, phone numbers, emails, personal documents, financial information, login information, medical information, private location information, private messages, private photos or videos, or information about children without proper permission.
J. Misleading Medical, Veterinary, or Safety Advice
You may not present yourself as a veterinarian, doctor, trainer, expert, rescue, shelter, or professional unless it is true and you have proper authority or qualifications. You may not share dangerous or misleading pet medical, emergency, nutrition, medication, or treatment advice that could harm pets or people.
K. Unauthorized Commercial Activity
Unless PetsBuds gives written permission or creates a specific feature for it, you may not use PetsBuds for unauthorized advertising, mass promotions, spam marketing, selling pets, selling illegal animals, fake rescue fundraising, undisclosed paid promotions, misleading product claims, unauthorized contests, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing spam.
8. Pet Sales, Adoptions, Rescues, and Breeders
PetsBuds is not currently a verified pet marketplace, adoption platform, breeder verification platform, or rescue verification platform unless we clearly state otherwise.
Users may not sell pets illegally, promote illegal breeding, organize animal fighting, scam users with fake rescue or adoption stories, misrepresent rescue, shelter, breeder, or veterinary status, pressure users for money through misleading pet emergencies, or sell protected, restricted, stolen, endangered, or illegally obtained animals.
If PetsBuds later allows adoption, rescue, breeder, or marketplace features, those features may require additional verification, rules, agreements, and legal compliance.
9. Reporting Violations
Users may report content, accounts, pet profiles, posts, messages, comments, groups, or other activity that appears to violate PetsBuds rules.
Reporting does not guarantee removal, but PetsBuds may act when we believe content violates rules, creates risk, or may be illegal. False, abusive, or bad-faith reports may result in enforcement action.
10. Enforcement and Consequences
PetsBuds may enforce these Terms and other policies in different ways depending on the situation.
- Warning the user
- Removing content
- Hiding content
- Limiting visibility
- Disabling comments, messages, follows, invites, posting, or other features
- Removing groups
- Removing pet profiles
- Requiring edits to content
- Temporarily suspending an account
- Permanently banning an account
- Blocking access from certain devices, IP addresses, or networks
- Preserving evidence of violations
- Reporting serious activity to law enforcement or appropriate authorities
PetsBuds may take immediate action without prior notice for serious violations, repeat violations, security threats, illegal activity, animal cruelty, child safety concerns, harassment, threats, hacking, scams, or other harmful conduct.
11. Account Suspension or Termination
PetsBuds may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we believe you violated these Terms, violated our policies, created risk or legal exposure, used the account for abuse or illegal activity, created safety concerns, repeatedly violated rules, or if we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using PetsBuds at any time and may request account deletion according to our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Policy.
12. Appeals
PetsBuds may offer a way to appeal certain enforcement decisions. Appeals should explain why you believe the decision was incorrect and include relevant details.
PetsBuds may approve or deny appeals at its discretion. Some actions may not be eligible for appeal, especially when related to security threats, illegal activity, child safety, serious animal cruelty, or legal obligations.
13. Copyright and Intellectual Property
PetsBuds respects intellectual property rights. You may not upload, post, or share content that violates someone else’s copyright, trademark, publicity rights, privacy rights, or other rights.
PetsBuds may remove content that appears to infringe rights, and repeat infringers may have their accounts restricted, suspended, or terminated. A separate Copyright / DMCA Policy provides more details.
14. PetsBuds Ownership
PetsBuds owns or controls the PetsBuds platform, brand, design, code, layout, features, logos, icons, graphics, text, software, databases, systems, and other platform materials, except for user content and third-party content.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create competing services from PetsBuds materials unless you have written permission.
15. Feedback and Suggestions
If you send PetsBuds ideas, feedback, bug reports, suggestions, feature requests, designs, or improvements, you agree that PetsBuds may use them without paying you or owing you any obligation.
16. Privacy
Your use of PetsBuds is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
17. Cookies and Technical Tools
PetsBuds may use cookies, sessions, security tokens, analytics, logs, and similar technologies to operate the service, protect accounts, remember preferences, prevent fraud, and improve performance. More details may be available in our Cookie Policy.
18. Third-Party Services and Links
PetsBuds may use or link to third-party services, including hosting providers, CDNs, email providers, SMS providers, analytics services, payment processors if paid features are added, social media platforms, and external websites.
PetsBuds is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, policies, or practices.
19. Paid Features, Ads, and Sponsored Content
PetsBuds may later offer paid features, subscriptions, advertising, promoted content, sponsored posts, business tools, marketplace features, or other paid services. If paid features are added, additional terms may apply.
Sponsored content, paid promotions, endorsements, or advertising must be clearly disclosed and must not be misleading.
20. No Veterinary, Medical, Legal, or Emergency Advice
PetsBuds does not provide veterinary, medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Content on PetsBuds may be created by users and should not be treated as professional advice.
For pet health or safety concerns, contact a qualified veterinarian. For emergencies, contact the proper emergency service, animal control agency, veterinarian, or local authority.
21. Platform Availability
PetsBuds may change, pause, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. PetsBuds does not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from bugs.
22. Beta Features and Testing
PetsBuds may offer experimental, beta, preview, or test features. These features may change, break, be removed, or work differently than expected.
23. Disclaimers
PetsBuds is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, PetsBuds disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, accuracy, and reliability.
PetsBuds does not guarantee that user content is accurate, users are who they claim to be, pet profiles are accurate, rescues or professionals are verified unless clearly stated, content will always be available, the platform will be free of errors or security issues, or harmful content will never appear.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PetsBuds and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, partners, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost content, business interruption, emotional distress, reputational harm, or loss related to your use of PetsBuds.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
25. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PetsBuds and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, partners, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of PetsBuds, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of another person’s rights, your violation of law, your misuse of PetsBuds, your interactions with other users, or your pet-related content, claims, offers, or activities.
26. Disputes Between Users
PetsBuds is not responsible for disputes between users. Users are responsible for their own interactions, both online and offline.
PetsBuds may take action if disputes involve policy violations, threats, harassment, scams, illegal activity, or safety risks, but PetsBuds is not required to get involved in every dispute.
27. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules.
You agree that disputes related to PetsBuds will be handled in the courts located in Broward, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
PetsBuds may update this section before launch based on legal advice and the official business location.
28. Changes to These Terms
PetsBuds may update these Terms from time to time. When we update these Terms, we may change the Last Updated date above and may provide additional notice for important changes.
Your continued use of PetsBuds after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using PetsBuds.
